Account of first production group meeting.

In our first meeting we didnt et any were near to the final product that we ended up creating. in our first meeting we discussed our indaviv=dula ideas and looked at what each of us wanted in our sequences, some wanted a certain camera angle shot soem wanted certain sounds used and others wanted the idea of the antagonist t be theres, so we had a good group because we were able to discuss it quite easilly. we came to the dissision in the first one that we liked the idea of something watching something or someone being watched or followed or stalked something along those lines any way we came to the dissision abouit the photo idea and the fac that someone would appear in the photo after it had been taken we changed this after a while to an object in the photo then it became the butterfly.

Thriller idea presentaions

My original idea was quite far away in face value from our final production but still remained to have a core part in our final idea. my idea was about the fear of something following you that was ambiguouse as in you didnt know wat it is. My idea was to use certain camera angles and lights to create the idea of a light following someone and the idea that you never see wat it is that is following them. It was in my mind targeted at young thrill seekers who enjoyed a good scare i had it imaganed as being an 18 and ranging to about a target age of about 35 maybe 40. I would also want it to be made by a top end film company paramount or universal studios.

Intro to useing still cameras.

I thins lesson we went rounfd the school with a partner to take pictures of each other. the idea of theis exersise was to practise getting the diffrent shots that we would need to know in our production shot. and also learning about the rule of thrirds.

Account of editing Preliminary task.

In this lesson we lerant how to edit useing fiuanl cut pro. We were shown very quickely how it worked then we started onm are own peices at first work was slow but once we learnt the short cuts and the general idea of things it was a simple task to edit the sort sequence that we shot. we onlt covere basics in this and didnt look at fade transsisions and titles or any thing we would cover thoses during the actual production making.

Account of shooting preliminary task.

In this lesson we shot the prelim task in our future grouops for our production. this was a fairly easy straight forward task that we had to do it involved us simple getting two actors to act a very short sceen with a set script and a set number of shots that we had to get for the task.

The shots that we had to get involved very simpole and not very complicated tasks. shots were things like over the shoulder wide and close ups.

Account of casting decisions and storyboards.

Casting for us was rather easy because we only had one person to cast. But that meant that we had to think extra hard about whom we wanted playing that role. We spent a good amount of time on Google images looking for certain stereotypes. So we could get the face and the costume right. In the end we invited an actor that the school uses a lot called Russell Layton to be in our film. We paid him a standard day rate - which was ok as we split it between 4 people (about £35 each with travel and expenses) and managed to borrow most of the other stuff we needed. So the most expensive part of our production was our actor, so lucky we kept our action confined to a small room so we didnt have to go anywhere and cause greater expense.
