Our target audience that we had in mind. keeoping the idea that it is a psychologigiacal thriller, I think that the majority of the people watching this movie would be male, maybe middle class and their age would range between 15-34 yr olds - and older. On the Jicnars scale, which is the Joint Industry Comittee for National Readership Surveys - they would be A, B and C Class perhaps.
Hopefully, our audience would be quite mature and intellectual.
On a Psychographic profiling system, our film would appeal to mainstreamers, but also actualisers, fulfillers and achievers, and would also enjoy other films like the remake of “The Omen” and "Memento", as well as older titles like "Seven" and "Jeepers Creepers"
Below is a run down of where I sourced the information on Jictars and Jicnars from:
social grade (or socio-economic class):
The socio-economic classification system used by the National Readership Survey, and generally for market research in the UK. The social grade of an informant is based on the occupation or former occupation of the head of the family unit, or in certain circumstances, eg where the head of the family unit is retired or unemployed and has a low income, it may be based on the occupation of the chief wage earner. Usually this person is also the head of the household. The classes are:
Social Grade Social Status Occupation
A Upper middle class Higher managerial/administrative/ professional
B Middle class Intermediate managerial/administrative/ professional
Cl Lower middle class Supervisory or clerical and junior managerial/administrative/professional
C2 Skilled working class Skilled manual workers
D Working class Semi and unskilled manual workers
E Those at lowest levels of subsistence State pensioners or widows (no other earnings), casual or lowest grade workers
The six classes are often combined into four (AB/C1/C2/DE) or into two (ABC1/C2DE).
